Nach dem Release der Enterprise Library hat Microsoft ein weiteres Projekt aus der Patterns & Practices Serie gestartet:
PatternShare.org ist ein Wiki, welches sich Design Patterns widmet. Teilnehmen (d.h. eigene Patterns veröffentlichen) kann nach einer Registrierung ähnlich wie bei AspxFiles.com, jeder.

Seit wenigen Minuten ist die im November angekündigte Enterprise Library nun zum Download verfügbar.
Sie fasst die folgenden, bisher nur einzeln verfügbaren Application Blocks in einer einzigen Library zusammen:
- Caching Application Block
- Configuration Application Block
- Data Access Application Block
- Cryptography Application Block
- Exception Handling Application Block
- Logging and Instrumentation Application Block
- Security Application Block

Seit einigen Tagen ist die MVP.Xml Library 1.0 verfügbar. Wie der Name bereits vermuten lässt, stellt sie eine Entwicklung von Microsoft MVP's dar und erweitert den System.Xml-Namespace des .NET Frameworks um viele nützliche Features, wie z.B. den XmlFragmentStream, der es erlaubt, XML-Files zu laden, die nur XML-Fragmente und kein komplettes XML-Dokument beinhalten.
Weiterhin bietet die Library Unterstützung für XML Inclusions (XInclude) Version 1.0 sowie das XPointer Framework des W3C.
