Da der Fix für den Bug in der Forms Authentication in ASP.NET im Prinzip nur aus einem Code-Snippet für die Global.asax.cs besteht, besteht die Gefahr, dass man bei künftigen Applikationen vergisst, den Bug in der Global.asax.cs erneut zu fixen.
Dauerhafte Abhilfe schafft das Anpassen der Designer Templates von Visual Studio.NET, so dass VS.NET den Bug Fix automatisch in neu erstellte Global.ascx.cs-Dateien implementiert.
Die neue NewGlobalAppCode.cs muss bei einer Standardinstallation in den Ordner C:\Programme\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\VC#\DesignerTemplates\1031 kopiert werden. bzw. muss diese Datei an ansprechender Stelle mit dem Fix versehen werden.

Visual Studio .NET contains a problem that can result in a loss of data when switching views in the WebForms designer.
Microsoft has corrected this issue with a downloadable patch. All customers who use Visual Studio .NET should download and apply this update.
